Miriam Lev-On
Executive Director & Co-Founder
Dr.
Miriam Lev-On is the Executive Director and co-founder of The LEVON
Group, LLC, an Environmental and Sustainable Development consultancy and
facilitation company located in southern California. Dr. Lev-On is a
world-renowned expert in the fields of Greenhouse Gas Emissions; Climate
Change Strategies; Clean / Renewable Energy; Air Quality and
Sustainability Strategies.
She possesses a unique capacity of merging her extensive technical
expertise with her to earth?peoples skills permitting her to
engage multi-stakeholders to address and resolve complex technical
issues and policy measures. She served as a member of several advisory
boards and coordinating committees (such as the US EPA Clean Air Act
Advisory Committee) dealing with issues of Clean Air legislation and
regulatory implementation of governmental mandates in the U.S. She is
currently the Chair of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA)
technical committee on Global Climate Change and Sustainable Development
and the Vice-Chair of A&WMAɮternational Affairs Committee as well as
a member of the Israeli Energy Forum.
Dr. Lev-On has over 25 years of professional expertise in the full gamut
of issues related to Air quality and Sustainable Development with over a
dozen years as a corporate senior advisor on environmental and
sustainability issues with multi-national petroleum and energy
companies. She plans and manages projects in diverse areas, provides
technical support to national and multi-national business associations
and works collaboratively through a variety of public-private
Ჴnerships?and iatives?
Miriam was an active contributor throughout the preparatory process
leading to the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in South
Africa; co-authored comprehensive reports and published several papers
on the Summit. She is working globally with the United Nations, the
World Bank and other multi-lateral organizations that undertook the
execution of the Johannesburg Plan of Implementation (formulated at the
conclusion of WSSD), such as the Ჴnership for Clean Fuels and
Vehicles?(PCFV) in which The LEVON Group is also a member.
Dr. Lev-On led the initial development of the American Petroleum
Institute (API) methodology compendium for estimating greenhouse gas
emissions and was instrumental in the process of its global
harmonization. Miriam also served as a member of the U.S. Technical
Advisory Group to the International Standards Organization (ISO) that
developed an international standard on greenhouse gas emissions
estimation, reporting and validation. She conducted atmospheric
research, along with air quality and exposure assessment studies while
working at SRI International and at RockwellŮvironmental Monitoring
and Services Center.
Miriam holds a Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry and an MA degree in
Chemistry, both from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and
a BS degree in Chemistry and Physics from the Hebrew University in
Jerusalem.

Perry P. Lev-On
Managing Director & Co-Founder
Dr.
Perry Lev-On is the managing Director and co-founder of The LEVON
Group, LLC, an Environmental and Sustainable Development consultancy
and facilitation company located in Southern California. Perry has
over 25 years of ᮤs-on?experience in the field of
Organizational Development, concentrating on the sub-specialties of
Sustainable Development (particularly on Education for Sustainable
Development - ESD), Team Development, Time Management, Community
Outreach, Stakeholder Engagement and Facilitation.
Perry consulted, conducted workshops and seminars and facilitated
㳵e based?sessions at major organizations, both in the public
and in the private sectors, to educational institutions and to
governmental agencies in the U.S. and overseas. Among the recipients
of Perryrvices in the U.S. were the U.S. Department of
Agriculture (USDA); the U.S. National Park Service (NPS); the
National Air and Space Administration (NASA); the General Services
Administration (GSA); the University of California at Davis; various
school districts and numerous public and private corporations and
organizations. Perry also provided similar services to many
corporations and institutions (governmental, public and private)
internationally.
He was active in the preparatory phases leading to the World Summit
on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in South Africa at which he
co-facilitated the development of work plans for partnership
initiatives. Perry is currently a member of the U.S. Partnership for
the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (USPDESD) and is
involved in researching strategies and raising awareness for the
role of education in internalizing the tenets of sustainable
development
Perry taught at several academic institutions in the U.S. and
abroad, including the Tel-Aviv Open University in Israel, the
Israeli Air force Officers School and at San Francisco State
University in California.
Dr. Lev-On holds undergraduate degrees in Business Administration
and in Psychology from the University of California at Santa
Barbara; a Master of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational
Development from San Francisco State University and a Ph.D. degree
in International Relations from Atlantic International University.
Additionally, Perry completed advanced Ph.D. studies in Counseling
Psychology and Educational Administration.
